Jack fruit is a best protein filled food. It has good nutritious values. Jackfruit is preferred food item in every area in summer. Jackfruit is native to South and Southeast Asia but is now cultivated in various parts of the world. 

The jackfruit tree can grow to significant heights and produce large, oblong or oval-shaped fruits. The outer skin of the jackfruit is green and covered in small, sharp spines. Inside, the fruit consists of many small, fleshy yellow bulbs, often referred to as "jackfruit pods" or "jackfruit arils." Each pod contains a seed, which is also edible after cooking. Jackfruit is known for its unique flavor and versatility. 

When ripe, the flesh has a sweet, tropical taste, similar to a blend of pineapple, mango, and banana. Unripe jackfruit has a milder flavor and a meaty, fibrous texture, making it a popular ingredient in vegetarian and vegan recipes as a meat substitute. 

In addition to its culinary uses, jackfruit is also used in traditional medicine for various purposes. The fruit is rich in nutrients, including vitamin C, potassium, and dietary fiber. Overall, jackfruit is a nutritious and versatile fruit that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, from eating it fresh to using it in curries, stews, desserts, and more.

Cut the inner Jack fruit pods into two pieces vertically and remove the inner seed and cover properly.

Use outer pod parts and seed by removing seeds cover with knife. The seed will finally become white and cut it into small pieces. At least 1 and 1/2 cup needed to cook.

Watered black gram 1/2 cup to be boiled by adding one cup water and salt as per need in pressure cooker after 3 Visals remove it from flame.

Cook jackfruit pieces by adding 1/2 cup water and required salt in a Tapella.

Place a Tapella on flame and add and mix both items together, boil for 2-3 minutes.

Add tadka with oil and grated coconut.

Finish the cooking and serve.

Water should be added proportionately, steer with heavy spoon while cooking, eat slowly, it has some gum and care for outer coverage of seed which is to be removed properly otherwise this outer sole may enter into throat, so please be careful while eating the Jack fruit Molakusham.
