COCONUT GRATED - 2 CUPS
GUD OR JAGGERY - GRATED - 1 CUP
SALT FOR TASTE
ELAICHI
RICE POWDER - 02 CUPS
WATER - 1/2 CUP
BANANA LEAF - MEDIUM PIECES-10 NOS.
MIX GRATED COCONUT AND GUD OR JAGGERY WELL IN A BOWL WITH SPOON.
ADD PINCH OF SALT.
ADD SOME ELAICHI OR ELAICHI POWDER
AFTER MIXING IT PROPERLY KEEP ASIDE THE MIX.
TAKE RICE POWDER 02 CUPS IN A BOWL AND ADD SALT 1/2 TBSP AND PREPARE DOUGH AFTER ADDING REQUIRED WATER.
THE DOUGH SHOULD NOT BE TOO LOOSE AND TOO DRY KEEP LITTLE BIT SMOOTH.
BANANA LEAF TO BE HEATED A LITTLE BIT TO SMOOTHEN THE LEAF FOR FOLDING AND SPREAD THE DOUGH ON THE LEAF PIECE FULLY.
SPREAD THE COCONUT & GOOD MIX ON THE TOP OF THE DOUGH SPREAD ON THE LEAF.
DO THIS FOR ALL THE LEAF LEFT OUT TILL THE DOUGH LASTS.
FOLD THE LEAF ALONG WITH DOUGH AND COCONUT MIX INSIDE FROM THE MIDDLE.
KEEP TO STEAM FOR 20 MINUTES IN A VESSERL AND CHECK WITH TBSP WHETHER IT IS BOILED PROPERLY. IF NOT BOILED THEN STEAM AGAIN.
SWITCH OFF THE COOKER AND REMOVE THE LID AND TAKE OUT THE ELEDA AND REMOVE THE LEAF (ELA) AND SERVE HOT WITH TEA.
