Everybody will be surprised to know the benefits of SABUT KALI DAL in common. There are some additional benefits hidden in the SABUT KALI DAL where we normally use it with Rice to smoothen the lot for idli and helps in fermentation. But this has another use of making some useful recipe out of this.

HOW TO MAKE WHOLE GRAM BLACK LENTIL CURRY
URAD is a best known protein rich Lentil used by many Indians for preparing their daily routine food items. Idli is one of the favourite breakfast of one and all in India. Idli is normally prepared in South India with Urad Dal. How idli is made is available in another page please see how idli is prepared.
How Urad Curry is made :
Urad curry is made of full lentil (akka urad) and you need to keep the lentil in water for some time for softness and then clean it and add it to cooker with salt and turmeric a little bit and one and half cup water or as per requirement. Please close the lid of pressure cooker and put its top whistler on full flame. After this cooker make 03 whistles remove it and keep it for some time.
Make a coconut lot in mixer by adding dried coconut and other masalas in it. Masala means Chili powder and jeera fry it along with coconut pieces. Then make smooth paste add this paste into the boiled urad and mix it well. Add water to loosen and stir well. Again boil in medium flame for some more time say 5 minutes and the Urad Curry is ready to use also add some crushed coconut on the top. Now it is ready to use.
Use it with Boiled Rice for lunch. Thadka with oil, rai and curry patha may be given at the end for better taste.
